Absolute rubbish....a classic election properganda exercise.
Far too many differences with cultural and language to begin with...its not 1950s Britain anymore...shame though...the idea has some merits.

(It’s because you’re one of those EVER so fortunate, never had it so good baby boomers :). It was very considerate of him to excuse those that had to do national service)

    Aye, it's all our fault.

The generation of miners, steelworkers and countless other trades unionists who fought to save their and future generations jobs.

Aye and the majority voted to pull up the ladder and **** over the younger generations. As they do every election.

If that doesn’t apply to you, great, but it applies to the majority of people in the age group.

Makes me wonder if the promise of another referendum wouldn’t be a vote winner?

What ARE the numbers in said age groups?

Say 18-30, 30-45, 45-60 and us who should be put to sleep.

Edit. The numbers eligible to vote.

Do we really know this to be the case though or has it just become excepted over the years since the referendum?
As I recollect the result was a pretty close run thing and in the immediate post Brexit analysis l recall there was a view that many people put their cross for Brexit as a protest vote in the mistaken belief that remain would win comfortably. Also the debate on this very board prior to the referendum seemed pretty evenly matched as I remember.
For the record I voted in both of the referendums and ended up on the losing side both times.

This was my post to which you said I was talking crap.

"if you look at the numbers, look at the percentages, and you take out the over 60 vote, Brexit doesn't happen. "

    That is a fact.

I mean you can talk around it all you want but it was your generation which most voted to leave.

Any chance of a graph showing the percentage of those groups who actually voted?

    Generally.

My generation joined trades unions and fought for jobs. My generation joined groups to fight right wing scum. My generation rioted against unjust laws and police injustice. My generation use their right to vote.

    Generally.

Younger generations sit behind screen and keyboard....

No point having inter-generational finger-pointing guys. You either think things are good ideas or you don't. I thought brexit was a kak idea and still do. Some think its the bees knees. I think national service is a kak stunt. Some think its a good idea....

Re Brexit. Cameron thought it wouldnt happen and didn't state a case to counteract Farage and Boris's full on leave advertising.
Blame the old all you like. A 2% swing the other way would have been a remain victory.
If those that didnt want to leave had got off their arses and voted the result could have been much different.
By the way. I voted remain at 60. My 25 year old colleague voted leave. And regretted it. Pointing out he didn't think it'd go the way it did. But saw his vote as a protest vote. To make the government sit up and take note that everyone wasn't happy and seek some changes.

    18 - 25 yr olds 65 % voted
    Over 60's 90% voted
Shall we blame the 35% of 18 -25 yrs for not voting.
    Or class votes.
Working class were the biggest leave group
Upper middle class the biggest remain group.

    2 chuffin % I blame Cameron.
