3-0 to the south in the north vs south play off finals.

Bit embarrassing to local Football that the biggest county in the country yet again have no top flight club.

That's where we differ. I judge them on their overall contribution to the game. Some strikers like Mark Hughes weren't prolific but offered lots in terms of build up. I enjoyed seeing Armstrong when he was at Oakwell. Scored some exceptional goals even if there weren't that many

Very frustrating for Leeds...saints a bit too cute and whites inability to actually shoot instead of fannying about around the box cost them....errr imho.

Wembley couldn't wait to play Freed From Desire at full time to start the choreographed *****.

The only noise that should be heard is fans celebrating.

Agree with this. The amount of times Leeds got into a good position out wide and played back was ridiculous. It allowed Southampton the opportunity to get organsied and hold their shape. They should have tried some earlier balls into the box!
Southampton have beaten Leeds on all 3 occasions they've met this season
Still no play off triumph for Leeds!

But Armstrong didn't offer that for us. As I recall he was largely anonymous.
I do take your point, remember Jon Macken offering a lot without goals.

Leeds were dreadful, never turned up and got what they deserved. Armstrong is a class act, great finish today, almost but not quite as good as the the one he scored for us against Preston.

I didn't realise that Leeds have never won the Play offs, after six attempts now. And that's four in the Final at Wembley.

They were but Southampton weren't exactly much better. Not a great final. Expect them to struggle massively next season unless they add some quality to that squad.

Leeds are an overhyped sack of 5 hit. Their history shows that. I f cuk in love it.

It's a long way back up the M1 when you've just lost a playoff final, I seem to recall. ;)

Absolute peach of a goal away at Preston.

The worst thing about losing a play off final is knowing you were nowhere near your best. Leeds were rank average today. Southampton were well drilled, but didn't really offer much more than that for me. Farke has a horrible record against them.

Tomorrow night's episode of Calendar news is set to be replaced by 30 minutes of sombre music.
