    Only 130 down is fantastic, especially as I imagine ‘£10 to save the seat next to you’ sales are some of those.

    Then it wouldn't be an early bird. People were given until a week after the play off final in case we made it and got promoted. That was fair. It couldn't continue indefinitely.

    I have got mine, but wouldn’t mind everyone being able to get theirs at price…..if it sells more tickets then i don’t see problem tbh

    Because the club needs to budget. Incentive of early bird is to get capital in as early as possible for that to happen.

    If we have a never ending early bird or just one price band, most folk would renew probably a day before the season kicks off. And then we have not bought any players. Cos we didn't have the money...

    If we are gunna for ever keep moving deadlines then it isn't a deadline

    If the final phase of STs is say an increase of 50 - 75 quid then POTG will have to reflect this.

    I'd imagine very few will will buy an increased price ST so just reflect POTG on the early bird STs.

    I would say early bird should run until the weekend before the players return for pre season training because any new signings contracts should start from that first day back, which used to be approx July 1st.

    These are really encouraging numbers tbh. I reckon there must be at least a 5-10% churn every year (deaths, incapacity and, as with my lad, kids heading to college/uni etc) so there must be a fair few new ST holders in that number. Esp as has been pointed out the £10 "keep a seat free" fans who won't be doing that now. All encouraging ahead of the new season.....

    Surprised to see that it's only 133 fewer than last season. Presumably allowing those from prior seasons to last year to re-purchased via a form of Early Bird might have helped in keeping the numbers fairly stable.

    I would imagine that there's been a late surge following details of Clarke's appointment just prior to the deadline, a choice which seems to have gone down well overall.

    Positive news overall, and definitely something of a surprise relative to last season. It will be interesting to see what the final number shows, as the difference between that and the 7,833 quoted will reflect those who've ended up paying the 'punishment pricing' for their tickets.

    Figures for each category of supporter, to last season, would give us a clearer picture and of the revenue raised by season tickets.
