Trump verdict en route...

11 hours isn't long to come to a decision after a five week trial. They must be pretty sure the jury they have reached the correct decision whichever way they go. If he's found guilty he couldn't possibly avoid prison surely....

 

I think it'll be a guilty verdict, but there won't be a custodial sentence. He'll appeal and they'll drag the whole thing out, ideally to November, so he can pardon himself as POTUS

 

With his pretty face, he'll be receiving some man love.

 

Guilty on all 34 counts!

Sentencing is 11 July at 10am local time.

 

Should have made it the week before. He then could have been sentenced on Independence Day and whilst we have our own election.

 

According to reports on sky news website. Nothing stopping him being president if in jail.

Trumps' donation website has apparently crashed due to the sheer volume of traffic. Looks like a large number of the good people of the USA don't agree with the verdict and see it as a witch hunt.

If Trump, or Biden for that matter, are seriously the best the US has to offer then they're really knackered, almost as badly as the UK with Sunak and Starmer. The illusion of choice guys and gals.

 

But there is a choice. It's never going to be perfect as I dont think anyone agrees with every policy of any party. You have to go with your gut feeling even if it means getting rid of the worst without getting the best you would look for.
Starmer is seen as a man with little Charisma. Is that really a problem if the goods he is hoping to deliver are better than the opposition. People are more centre politically than centre left. Any shift is better than as is, or further to the the right.
Boris was quite jolly in some peoples eyes. But also one of the biggest lovely people to ever become prime minister. The mind boggles. Cos if the Tories lose. There is talk of him being pushed into coming back as leader.
The U.S. is on another level. Trump is an embarrassment to the Human race. Yet is as popular as ever.

 

Worst thing is a country the sheer size of the USA and the two best candidates.. Trump and Biden.

 

I just think it's time people acknowledged that the POTUS has no influence whatsoever to be honest. Biden and Trump are both completely unsuited to the job, and that is by design. The military industrial complex will always take charge, always promote war, and always do what it can to prevent anyone even remotely moral from getting anywhere near power. There's simply too much money to be made. Voting in America is voting for which arsé cheek you want to be belted. And it's the same here.

 

This is the beauty of living in a democracy.
