Reeves has publicly stated she only ever wants to be Chancellor. I’d back Wes Streeting as next leader.

He would have been my choice. Sadly he's decided to dedicate himself to Manchester and has repeatedly stated that he does not want to go back to Westminster.

The best Prime Minister we never had was John Smith.

Andy Burnham for me if he can be persuaded - agree with @Brush Smith would have made a brilliant PM

To be clear, I meant back as in that’s where I would put my money.

I’m intrigued to see how Streeting does in office, he’s an excellent public speaker and has lots of ideas on health.

And it (seemingly) didn't take her long. 'More Starmer lies' tweeted under her @HackneyAbbott account and then swiftly deleted.

Has she been hacked by mischief makers? The media has gone quiet on this suggesting there is doubt as to it's authenticity. If it is confirmed as her tweet then there will be an interesting decision for the NEC tomorrow, who were otherwise set to rubber-stamp her candidacy.

Possibly so. She called out the decision to bar her which was never made last week before checking it with those in authority. It's only source was "unknown Labour sources". It's not a fight I think she can win. There again, maybe it was all innocent?

Sadly Breakfast TV this morning started a review of the election with the statement that Labours continuing issue in the Diane Abbott case goes on...Not about policy, not about this shower of sh*te currently in charge, not about Labours lead in the polls..no none of them matter now, only this none event of Dianne Abbott who has been told she can stand no problem...If Dianne Abbott wants to help Labour to victory now is the time to go on TV and say all's good now lets smash the Tories...

The Tories and their cronies are throwing everything at this, Apparently the election campaigning funding limits have been significantly increased by the Tories and will no doubt benefit them more than Labour. I am not a big fan of Starmer and his version of the Labour Party, but what I do know is that we have to back them to not just defeat the Tories but to set them back years. Therefore, I have made a donation to their Electoral funding campaign.

I hope Julie doesn't ask Keir tomorrow night in the head to head what a woman is because he would get flustered having to say an adult female.

I don't know why.... But I get the subtle impression you're not a fan of centrist or left parties?

An important issue, but imo, in the greater scheme of things, is well down the list of importance. If that’s all the interviewers can focus on then, it shows there’s not much material there for them to beat him with.

All this Diane Abbott stuff is surfacing because of the way the Labour Party under Starmer seek to stifle left-wing voices in the party. There are millions of left-leaning folk in the country unhappy with the marginalisation of socialist principle and imposition of people who toe the party line for the sake of electoral success. There's a lack of heart and decency in Starmers party and unless there is progressive change after the election there will be another right-wing government in 5 years time. Mark my words. The Diane Abbott thing will, I'm sure, play well with some in the short-term but alienating left-wingers whilst admitting people like Elphick will come back to bite. I'm not Abbott's biggest fan by the way.

I'm not even sure about that, mate. The online space is dominated by transgenderism. It's a very tough topic for Keir, the left want a more progessive side to him, the middle/leaning right see it as a 'common sense easy answer', especially considering the biological males being initially put into female prisons whilst being sentenced for r*** before being moved to the mens. I think it's going to be a gotcha that might work.
