Great achievement to move up from the regional league. If they were to have another great season next year, and achieve promotion, they wouldn't be able to move up though if Hannover remain in Bundesliga 2.

Hannover were a bit lucky really. Their goalkeeper saved one penalty but ref made them retake it because he was way off his line. He then saves the second one which was allowed to stand although the keeper was just as far off the line as he was for the first. What surprised me was the huge crowd watching the game. There was even a pitch invasion after the final penalty. I was particularly looking out for Daniel but never saw anything of him. All in all it made me wonder if it really is the Hannover side that he manages
If any of you follow the Halb Vier Fanzine account on that Twitter, there seems quite a lot of criticism of Hannover in German football circles. I don't understand most of it, but it seems a good chunk of the side that won the playoff are reasonably well-established Hannover first teamers. Plus some other stuff about clubs' junior sides being allowed into Bundesliga I / II Maybe our Teutonic members can shed some light....
