I’m not a big RL fan, but I watched it on SKY when Leeds were THE team. And I saw this player who was like a school kid amongst these giants. And he could run rings round them! Some of his runs were unbelievable when he ducked under tackles.
    RIP Rob. A real hero.

Death is the inevitable conclusion of life, we can not control or avoid it. All we can control is the way we choose to live life and face the challenges. Rob's story is inspiring beyond what words can convey. What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived.

    RIP Rob

A very good mate's wife is in the late stages of MND (she's only 45) and it has been absolutely brutal to see the deterioration in her condition over about 5 years, accelerated by her poor access to appropriate healthcare in the relatively early stages in particular.

It's an awful disease and it's tremendous what Rob Burrow has done to raise awareness. What a brilliant guy.

Watched the piece sky news put out last night about him. We’re out in Tenerife at the minute and as it came on the TV the full bar started singing there’s only one Rob burrows. Was a lovely moment.

football fan, rugby fan, tiddlywinks fan…. He captured the hearts of the nation. A very special man. Cannot imagine what the family are going through right now, but I tell you what, his kids must be so proud of their daddy.

    Rest in Piece Rob.

I watched this clip last night and was struggling to hold back tears by the end of it. When he smiles at his own joke at the end of it you get a brief reminder that he holds all the same emotions that he ever did within a body that is no longer able to express them. In his final public message, the last thing he does is demonstrate to everyone that he's still retained his sense of humour throughout everything he's endured through this condition.

Brother in law was eventually diagnosed with MND at the beginning of the year.
The muscles in one of his legs started to waste away last year but he was told by doctors that he simply needed to do exercises to build the muscles back up.
He is now wheelchair bound as he has lost the use of his legs and slowly but surely he is losing the use of his arms.
Horrible disease and absolutely heartbreaking having to watch someone suffer from it.

Hopefully the fantastic work fundraisers do will one day find a cure

    RIP Rob
