If any of our fans are not excited about this they must be crazy. 1. His ability is better than any of our current players especially in terms of his set pieces, passing and crossing. 2. His experience and influence would be so valuable to our current players. 3. Potentially he could our manager down the line.
The return of a former player who had success with us should always generate some sense of feel good. I saw very little of us last year, but looking at the team, it seemed we lacked leadership. Jordan Williams just wasn't captain material and i do think having a leader on the pitch and in the playing staff is a big help, especially when you have young players in and around the squad. As for potentially being coach/manager.... given the rate we go through them... he might get his chance next season, maybe even January! ;-)
