    It was indeed, had the full works, flood lights, spent hours painting fans etc.
    Few of us used to run a league system 4 divisions of 5 teams, whoever finished bottom of Div 4 had to apply for re-election potentially being replaced by another team part of the price swap visit to John Brittons.

    I salvaged what I could from my parents attic a few years back. Got a Grandstand, floodlights, teams, Police on horseback etc. Looks like she’s binned some of it at some point. Certain I had more. Not happy :D:D

    When I lived in York a mate of mine ended up in Newcastle in similar circumstances and had to wait for the first train back in the morning, along with a handful of other, er, sleepy people. Coming into York the next day he noticed a couple of his fellow return travelers were once again asleep, but having overheard their unsavoury conversation the night before decided to leave them slumbering away as the train carried them back down towards London once more.
