Currently got leg in one of those plastic boots to help with ligament damage. It was a bad two footed challenge that wiped her out. She's still angry about the challenge Paul.
Can't see a day when he'd ever be back at Oakwell. He's rich enough to do nothing when he retires from playing. If he chose to go in to coaching he'd get offers at far bigger clubs like Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard etc get.
And look how badly its gone for them mate. Personally I dont think Stones will ever be like a nationwide household name, unless we win euros..., but i reckon regardless he will do the right thing and work his way up. The ones you mention are having to do it now after being thrown in far too quickly. How well emery has done at villa is making Gerrard seem worse and worse!
Controversial, but I'd take Fletcher. Truly believe he is one of those players who'd thrive with us, and us alone. 12 month gamble, sensible money .......
If you decline big jobs as you think it's too soon, but then fail down the leagues, you're even further away from big jobs. You take them while you can. Man City would probably offer him a job for life in the academy.
Im 99% certain he will finish his career with us, it was always his plan. Who knows what the future holds tho, eh?
He's a Barnsley fan, just like all of us. If money wasn't a decisive factor with Conor, it certainly won't be for Stones.
I think Stones will be one of a new breed of wealthy ex players who, instead of management or punditry, will buy a club out of his loose change. Us. Yes, I get the old adage of 'how do you become a millionaire in football?'
Hourihane is a catalyst there's no escaping that. I mentioned last night that you should learn from the past and take forward it's best facets. However, I'm against signing people just because they drove through Lundwood. Roberts was half decent, nowt else. If he came back I wouldn't be too fussed. However, as good as these ex players were/ are. Let's not turn it into Dad's army.
What makes you think he would thrive mate. Hes 28 and should be at the top of his game. But imo nowt suggests he'd be worth a gamble. Happy to be proved wrong. I reckon the utd tag has been a bit of a noose around his neck.
For me, he's the sort of player I can see going to Wycombe, or at least I could if Ainswoeth was still there.
Like I say mate, some players just seem suited to one club. That's my only thinking. Agree about the Utd tag. He could have been Rashford of the planets aligned
Nah he's absolutely tripe. Been useless for several seasons. Would purely be a nostalgia signing. Rather give minutes to Jalo, Dallas etc
Every successful team has a spine...the season we went to the Premier league we had a spine of experience... For me my spine for us would include roberts, hourihane and norwood....add cosgrove, pines, earl, connell, Philips, Mdg, and others we look great
