That’s were it is ridiculous, when 3rd place out of a group of only 4 can qualify

True, “Anybody but England” will almost certainly get at least second place

I'd say it was a bit of both. I only watched the first half, but I thought Germany looked good in and around the box, but Scotland didn't make any attempt to try and hurt them on the counter, so couldn't get out of their own half. They were getting the ball behind the German midfield, but there wasn't much effort for players to commit to getting forward. It was much more of a mismatch than I was expecting.

Still think Scotland will get through their group
especially if their opponents keep scoring for them

You're going to have to have a shot on goal to beat Switzerland unless they score another own goal for you mate.

I don't, Switzerland and particularly Hungary have some very good players. I just don't know where Scotland will get the goals from, and even if they do get lucky and both Hungary & the Swiss score own goals, I certainly think they themselves will score more than 2 in the right nets!

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Germany score 6 but charitabley score one of them for the beleaguered Scots.

I’ve no idea why the Germans have disappointed in recent tournaments but they’ve got some brilliant footballers.

I’d take Neuer, Kimmich, Rudiger, Kroos, Gundogan & Musiala all as starters for England yet we’re shorter odds with no home advantage & France on the same side of our draw. They also appear to have a fair amount of depth beyond the first 11 too.

I had Germany 3-1 Scotland. I seriously underestimated how poor Scotland would be. I had Scotland scoring because I don't think Germany's defence is great and I thought the Scots would go gung-ho, especially considering their poor options up front, so I figured they'd just throw everything at 'em and try score via set plays. I couldn't have been more wrong!

Their home advantage too. Outside of Rudiger & Kimmich though I don't think they're good enough at the back, even Neuer has had a poor season. I actually think us (especially if we had a decent manager, I just don't rate Southgate, sorry), France, Spain & even probably Portugal have better squads overall

Hey look in all fairness, although I'm sick of hearing about the McScotch, and having to talk about them to be honest.
It will be interesting to see how they react against Switzerland, and (Callum Styles') Hungary.
