    I can only wish him all the best. A very good wingback / fullback, but not a CB. I think he'll do well at Pompey TBH. Not a bad part of the country to relocate to.

    Felt sorry for him last season, was best wing back in the league under Duff and looked hung out to dry in center defence. The argument that we needed his pace there was a non starter for me as we never played with a high back line. Confidence looked shot half way through the season.

    All the best jordan a good servant of barnsley football club definitely seen some ups and downs in his time here.

    I thought he was terrible, even when moved back to his normal position. He'll pull no trees up there.

    Excellent player with a great attitude. Occasionally made a defensive gaffe but excellent and confident in position and when played in his best position a top L1 / bottom half of Championship player. Despite some of the ‘experts’ on here he was always going to get a move up.

    Hope he does well.

    If you think over his time here Williams was terrible then I’m not sure what you’ve been watching. He had some poor moments this season but he’s been excellent overall.
    Good servant (maybe great in the current context of era/players).
    Posts like this feel either bitter or wrong (imo)

    Very good footballer for a bottom end championship / top end league one side. Fell victim to a lot of fans deciding him & the others out of contract were bad apples even though the evidence on the pitch said the opposite.

    He made plenty of errors at centre back but his pace also saved us on plenty of occasions too.

    Imho....neither excellent nor terrible.
    Served us well and had some very good games and some howlers. Not that fantastic defending but his pace served to get him out if a million sins.
