Can anyone find anything about her politically ? A single quote from her? Any acknowledgement that she exists on the Tory pages?

Hate the Tories but hate that they seemingly just stick a random name down for candidates more

I think anything politically can be seen here as to who she Strives for.

I saw that and figured out what she's like from it but I just find it annoying that I can't find a single actual political quote for her, can't see a single photo of her with a conservative rosette or anything at all. She isn't even mentioned on the Tory website from what I can see or the Barnsley conservatives website.

I don't care because I have no intention of voting for her but it winds me up a bit when parties just randomly name someone as a candidate without even trying to get a single vote. It shows utter contempt for voters

I'm guessing she's got better things to be getting on with rather than flogging a dead horse.

Agreed. Just makes me think they shouldn't bother standing in the first place

To be fair mate, my mum has exactly the same situation in her constituency in Lincolnshire. 25k Tory majority but MP has been involved in quite a few unpopular local projects, meaning overturning it if enough people voted Reform wasn't out of the question. She seemed sure that an excellent and very popular local councillor was going to stand for Labour. Received the list yesterday to find an unknown bloke from Hounslow is the Labour candidate, which she's absolutely livid about. Pretty much means Labour have given up on the seat, pouring everything into neighbouring Lincoln. Lincoln has been a marginal for time immemorial, but this time around Labour would have got in with a 5 figure majority without any campaigning whatsoever. I can understand not wanting to leave anything to chance, but even so it seems an odd allocation of resources.

These scumbags aren't going to touch the labour cult in barnsley and therefore I think they should put a hedgehog up as their candidate.

TBF Dan Jarvis had probably never heard of Barnsley when Labour shoehorned him into Barnsley Central to replace Illsley after he got his fingers caught in the till.

Having spoken to Dan quite a few times, he always seemed a genuine bloke. Must say he has been awfully quiet recently when it comes to talking about Barnsley.

Yeah, used to be far more vocal though across other platforms.
