I thought France had a few more gears to go through…they’re so quick on the break. Fairly solid at the back too. Austria were excellent and pressed so well, just lacking pace and quality.

ref was poor and nearly lost control. Seemed to favour the French a touch.

poetic justice mbappe feigning a broken nose and then….being rewarded with a real one.

the way to beat them would be to sit very deep I would think.

They were the better side but the ref was incredibly biased

The funniest thing I saw tonight was the group of fans wearing ref kits and waving linesman flags. One had a cardboard message asking the ref for his shirt:D

Could we say France were poor/disappointing, regardless of whether they looked capable of moving up a few more gears etc.
Austria looked lively, and I enjoyed the game, they kept having a go right to the end. They and Holland will probably be going for 2nd place in the French group.

I think the quality so far has been excellent. Even the so called smaller nations have been superb.

I hate accusing referee's of bias, but he did seem to give France everything. As I've mentioned above, the booking for the Austrian lad who, not only was well within his right to challenge the keeper, but even won the ball, was the most blatant poor decision.
