    No, it will have been written by one of Vine's legal team or even Vine himself. It will almost certainly have been a term of settlement that Barton publishes a statement on Twitter, with the wording set out in the agreement.

    There will have been a point where Barton's lawyer had to explain to him that paying £75k and eating some humble pie would be infinitely preferable to proceeding further with the litigation. Barton will have hated it and signed through gritted teeth.
