Further to that, the best player on the list of retained players, has since signed for Stoke City. The one player they offered a new deal to has also left the club.
I guess patience is key but wouldn’t it be good to get players in for key areas when they report back giving them time to bond, rather than end of the window and pedalling the usual they need time to gel.
Quality over quantity. Of the 8 they've signed, the only ones I'd have taken would be Raggett and Reece James. Those aside I am not that impressed with any of the ones they've added.

Couple of things in this subject popped into my head on this: 1) Given the fact players have been away and the new boss is literally just meeting existing players, should we be rushing in and signing players before he’s met them? 2) When do the people doing the recruiting actually take their holidays?
Only next May will anyone know if it's good business or not.. But their intention to bounce straight back to the championship is clear and should be admired.
