‘Genny Lec’ was bad enough but now we’ve got this. Anything serious that impacts people’s lives is now reduced to baby-talk so it sounds fun. Can’t afford to feed your kids or heat your home because of the cost-of-living crisis? Blame it on ‘cozzy livs’ and you’re sorted. Nowhere to live? Forced to sleep anywhere that will take you in? Call that ‘sofa surfing’ and it sounds California-cool. Still if Prezzy P pushes the nuclear button we can all sit back to enjoy the Newky Missys
People who are really struggling are 'povvoes' apparently. Its not a joke is it? People with mental health issues, saddos.
I'm Litro fumes at the cozzy livs. We need to get the Royals out of bucky P, and get the youth into Nashy serve, unforch its enough to turn you to dazzy P to stop the nervy b. Hopefully the limpy G's in Paris this summer will be ab fab.
You're right! I misread it. But by complete chance we've come up with a name I'm sure Putin would love.
If you get wound up by this type of thing, there's a YouTube video floating about, of someone asking Gen-Z types what all these abbreviations stand for. Personally I don't have a problem with slang. It's always happened. Just like we went lakin art at togger. I have the bigger problem with change of actual language, e.g. of for have, or people asking if they can 'get a coffee' etc etc. No. No you can't get a coffee. You can have a coffee. They will get it for you. I would imagine the vast majority of this comes from American YouTube & TikTok influence. Even though they speak English.
I think it would be a better use of energy to get irate at the Brexit and lockdown enthusiasts who caused the horrendous cost of living crisis rather than at the folk using a whimsical and mildly daft term to describe it.
