    Foden had a better game tonight but we seem to lack the desire of other top teams to dominate . Part of me wishes I'd watched the T20 match!

    I actually think Southgate has done well since he’s been in charge, it’s easy to say we’ve great players now so he’s only doing what anyone could but we did have good players before too, he has got them together over the last few tournaments and we’ve done well. Also Brazil, Argentina, France Italy etc are all still very good teams so we’ve no right to win tournaments.

    But that was poor tonight, it was just a mess, set up not right , and if Rice and TAA, our midfield are going to sit right in front of the centre half’s it’s going to pull everyone back.

    the idea is that only 1 forward means we can play with 3 attacking players behind him, but with rice and TAA so deep they just ended up playing in our own half too

    That's a fair assessment.

    This board is so knee-jerk. It's like during the winter, we had fans wanting the manager sacked depending on whether we scored the next goal or not.

    You can be disappointed in a performance with resorting to the SACK HIM LOL rubbish that is spouted on here.

    He should've gone after he threw the Italy final, he's a nice chap, but, he's the most boring manager England have ever had.

    Yes, a semi final was no good. When he had a squad capable of winning it.

    My car had a service and MOT today. When it was ready, I walked down to collect it. It's about 1.5 miles and it took me 20 minutes. By the time I got there, I was breathing harder than any England player was at full-time. And I was sweatier too.

    Also, by strange coincidence, my bill came to £540, which seemed to tally nicely with the 5-4-0 formation we were using tonight.

    As I said, we had Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard in midfield, and Eric Dier in defence. A semi final was a fantastic achievement.

    Then the next tournament we got to the Euros Final! A feat unmatched by any manager we've ever had. None of them have got to a Euros Final.

    There’s a reason why Southgate.was sacked by Middlesbrough. I think he’s a great role model. A fantastic man manager. But an absolutely clueless tactician.
