He's growing into the game. Yellow will hamper him a bit. Hungarians don't seem to want to give him the ball.
As in, objectively, he's played better as the game has progressed & that's obvious to anyone who doesn't have some axe to grind against him. He wanted Championship football to give him this opportunity & he's done himself proud in this first half....not a great game, but one of the best on the pitch in my eyes.
Well, he's had his name on the graphics at the half time chat so he's done more than one thing right!
Why the flip wouldn't we want a Barnsley player to do well in such a prestigious competition? Don't care about his future, only that right now he is our player and I want him to be a superstar tonight. What if he scores the winner ... as a Barnsley player ?
Let's be honest, he's done nothing bar shuttle up and down and side to side occasionally closing down and very occasionally getting a give and go. One decent pass and one draw of a foul on the edge of the box. Absolutely nothing to get him noticed by anyone except us.
He has made unpteem 2 yard passes n one ling pass thar went to no one, I could have dine that lol, but if you think hes a world beater mate fair dois
In the way that he's been more involved as the half went on. Needs to be a bit careful after the yellow. Seems to have to get the ball himself if he wants it. There was at least one free kick that was in a good situation for him.
It's been about his positioning & reading of the game.... It's fair to say he could have had 3 assists in that first half. I don't think Callum is any world beater & neither does he. He just wants to play at the highest level & Premier League is his target.
