Some of the lads are back in training early

Either Mladen or Darrell alluded to players coming back early in a recent interview, and the club have posted some pictures. All close ups. A mix of first team regulars and Fringe players. Phillips, Pines, Marsh, Cotter, Watters, Lofthouse, Lopata. Strange they're all close up pics. It's as though they don't want you to notice someone else in the background

2+2 and all that.

 

Ahhh so that's why I saw Jon Stead jogging high up on the Shepley/Birds Edge border around 11:15 on Saturday morning. He didn't want to be out of shape for training.

 

Good to see some of the boys back.

Random fact of the day - we're just past the mid point of post/pre season (48 days since the last game on 07 May and 47 days to the start of the season on 10 August).

Looks as though Cundy is in training. No idea who the lad is with his back to the camera on the first photo.

Not on the pictures but the video on social media definitely looks like it’s Cundy. Different kit to what Ravenhill is wearing. Not sure if the blonde haired lad is Shepherd either.

Nevermind I’ve just seen the video that’s definetly Cundy and only blonde lad I see is Cosgrove

 

It'll be a defender if he's turned his back. It seems to be the in thing these days.

 

Cundy wasn't on the retained list. Maybe they're letting him train to improve his fitness.

Edit: just realised the pictures are in Facebook that look like Conor was present. The ones here are less clear

 

His contract doesn't officially expire until the end of the month I believe, so I guess he's taken the opportunity to try and get a bit of fitness before moving on.
