Did anybody else notice that this film was on again last night, on Beeb Two (at about this time, summat past 11pm) ?. And yeah I'm sure we've all seen it, haven't we.
Micky Sheen plays the role of Cloughie so well lol, it's one of my all time favourite footy based films. Even better than Escape to victory!. :D
However, I just can't see Timothy Spall as Peter Taylor, and I can't see Stephen Graham as Billy Bremner either!!.

I remember watching it on the tiny screen on the back of the headrest in front, but it's got me thinking of another Cloughy drama; when he played a modern-day Delilah by getting David Curry's mullet chopped off. Curry was never the same again.

    Oops. Currie, not Curry.

I’m into Mike Bassett, England Manager at the moment. Such fun.

Michael Sheen is brilliant as Clough. He gets the voice and intonation perfectly. He was also superb as Kenneth Williams in the BBC biopic a few years ago. I saw Sheen in April at the National Theatre, where he gave a terrific performance as Nye Bevan. He's one of the really great actors of the modern era.

Mark Crossley tells the story of Curries run ins with Cloughie on YouTube, very funny.

I love the story where Clough gets him to his house on a Sunday morning without telling him that he’s agreed to play him in a Sunday league team because they’re short of a keeper.

Indeed, he was. The fact that he can play such very different characters so convincingly shows how talented he is. I loved his rousing speech to the Wales football team too.

What lol, you've never seen it!!. ;)
It was admittedly before my time as a fan, but I did like Cloughie as the Notts Forest manager from the late 70s onwards. He was always memorable in how he behaved and what he said etc.
Yeah I like Mike Bassett England manager of course lol, but this tells a very good story about Clough and Revie and Leeds.

Here's a weird deleted scene from the film, which suggests Brian was an absolute a*hole, and he was also bordering on psychotic!!.
I'm glad this wasn't included in the film to be honest!.
