    I get your point, but that's just the way it goes. personally I don't agree with the 4 best of the 3rd place teams advancing. Comparing teams that played different opponents doesn't seem like a great system to me

    Yes it can but I still don't like the format. 36 games to eliminate 8 teams is excessive.
    Mind you the next world cup will be 72 games to eliminate 16 teams.

    Only himself to blame, had one chance, got hauled off for being invisible after an hour. Despite his deluded self belief, he's not going to find himself a "bigger" club than us. That's his level, he needs to knuckle down, accept it and play some decent football, if he's got it in him.
