There's a heatwave. As long as he makes the time limit he will be happy today. Too many climbs for Cav today
I'm planning on heading over to Dijon on Thursday so fingers crossed he hangs in there long enough to be involved in the likely sprint finish there.
Let's hope Cav cuts the mustard. Oh, hang on, you don't cut mustard, you spread it. (Stewart Lee joke).
Thanks @kirky boy. I've been to a couple of starts and seen a few stages in progress but this will be my first finish, since I scrapped my planned trip to Moulins last year once Sir Cav (or just Cav as he was then) withdrew and various other obstacles presented themselves. Let's hope it's a historic one.
Brilliant first stage. I’ve always been a fan of Bardet so glad he’s won a stage & gets to wear the yellow jersey in his final tour. Both Yates brothers, Thomas & Onley all looked comfortable in the peloton throughout the day so their should be plenty of British interest whenever the they’re in the mountains.
Only caught the last few k of today's stage. Nervy moments for Sir Cav with the late crash but he lives to fight another day. Just bought my train tickets for Dijon on Thursday. Should be a grand day out.
