Most infuriating is players kicking ball out of play when an opposition player goes down injured no one within a mile. Unless he's choking on his tongue. A compound fracture. Who gives a fekk that opposition fans shout, whistle and boo. Play on ffs. Other stupid rule. Genuine injury caused by a player booked, lucky not to be sent off. And the team of the injured party. Have to play with 10 men till ref beckons player back on. Fekkin mental.
The need for 3 studio pundits plus presenter plus pitch side pundits plus former referee as an expert on iffy decisions for a televised game.
Something that also annoys me, is throw ins. Teams in their own corner area, taking an extra 10 yards forward with a throw in. And what about most of them these days being 'foul throws' (if there is such a thing).
Also when I watch some older classic 70s & 80s highlights, it's when the commentators used to say upright, instead of the post. And they said woodwork as well, even though it was made of metal lol. And when they said nothing or nought, when the word should have been nil!. Ok yeah, maybe I'm nit picking a bit too much here ehh!.
If it's modern game, in these euros, it's been var giving penalties for hand balls, that the ref didn't that really weren't clear and obvious. I also dislike defenders having to have their arms behind their back to avoid it.
I voted cramp. Cramp only happens in the last ten minutes of a game and only affects players of teams who are ahead by a one goal margin. Remedy it by making it one of those injuries where the game carries on with the trainer allowed on. It will cease. We will never see a trainer on. BUT My biggest bugbear for timewasting. Ball goes out on right hand side. Keeper walks nonchalantly to pick up ball, walks just as nonchalantly to left hand side. Places ball with calm precision. Marks his run up. Stops to kick mud off boots on post (upright!). Decides ball should in fact be better placed at other side. Repeat routine. Pause until referee wags a naughty boy finger. Kick. All the early timewasting measures that were taken years ago, such as no back pass pickup. 4 steps. 6 second rule. All worked. Yet this fuc.king stupid goal kick procedure persists. What happened to the rule that a goal kick is taken, in a timely manner, from the side it was kicked out? So what if the pitch is roughed up a bit, it's a contact sport on a grass pitch Ggrrrr
