I agree on the play acting , but I think it’s fair to say the vast majority of people recognise they play outstanding football, particularly in the first half today. williams and Yamal are genuinely exciting to watch and Rodri is a class act. no idea how we could beat them if we get through to the final, save for playing very defensive and countering down the wings with Saka’s / Palmer’s pace
They are getting ridiculous plaudits for a team sneaking past teams just like us. They aren't blowing anyone anyway for how good they supposedly are. They are nowhere near the team they were when they had Xavi, Iniesta etc.
I just assumed hairstyle. As far as I am aware, the French are known for their voguish swank and panache; presumably they found his bushy mop slightly objectionable
they’re not yet I agree, but they could well be. they could easily blow us or the Dutch away I think.
Jesus, I'd be goose marched right out of the country. Come to think of it, I went to France in 1990, and everyone just stopped, open mouthed, and stared at me. For the whole time I was there, it was bizarre. And I don't really look any different now.
Best team (in the match and the tournament) won. But I don't think they're that good we have to fear a thrashing if we get to the final. We're solid enough to have a close game with anyone, it's whether we can score to win it that is the main issue. We can always beat them on penalties though.
Hey they did blast one team away didn't they, and it was the mighty Georgia of course lol. Dreamy kid, seriously, your taking the mick again here aren't you. If you don't think they have been the best team in the tournament so far.
This must be trolling. They played everyone other than Germany off the park (and even that one it takes some bottle to beat the red hot home nation), I’m as big a fan of England as the next man but if we manage to up our game enough to beat Netherlands then I think it’s us not them who should be worried!
Of course they are the best team in the tournament because they are the only team at the moment to make the final.
Hhmm, it doesn't work out that way though does it, in tournament football. And your still taking the mick again here, for whatever reason.
Incidentally Spain, despite the glossy football, have the worst disciplinary record in the competition. Before tonight's game they'd committed 74 fouls, picked up 13 yellow and one red card. England have the second best record having committed 44 with 8 yellows.
Not taking the mick I've just agreed with you. It does work out that way. You can't fluke your way to a trophy. Somewhere along the line you've done something good. Although I'm sure if we win Sunday some will say we didn't deserve it, we're jammy, flukey etc.
My observations.. France with all those good players, failed because they let themselves become a one player team. That Spanish lad is far too young for the weight now on his shoulders. Hope this doesn't break him. The second Spain goal was actually better than the first. So few strikers can make that kind of space for themselves ina. Box full of world class defenders.
So if our semi final had been played first, we or The Netherlands would be the best team in the tournament?
They don't play keep ball anymore. As you'd know if you were paying attention and not desperately trying to pull down every team bar England. As I've pointed out to you before which you conveniently ignored they beat Albania having rested 10 of their first 11. They beat Germany in one of the most entertaining games of the tournament. They beat France fair and square playing fluid attacking football. The fact that their second goal took a deflection on its way in is completely irrelevant. Keep on talking rubbish though, you usually do.
Absolutely nailed on favourites for me. Proved last night they have everything. They can attack, they can press, they can come from behind, they can score phenomenal goals and have excellent game mgmt, willing to just keep possession forever to slow the game down when they come under pressure. They will be very very hard to beat.
