1-1 at half time. Played some good stuff in spells. Very patient and similar to last season in others. Cosgrove and Connell were busy. Barring one good interception towards the end of the half, the game passed Watters by. Earl came close to scoring his second, from a free kick from O'Keeffe, but didn't make great contact sliding in at the back post and the keeper saved comfortably. Still look a bit suspect at the back. O'Keeffe had a good chance just before half time. And Cosgrove had a couple of penalty shouts, the second looking more stonewall (think the defender won the ball on the first).
Same Barnsley side for first 15 minutes in the 2nd half. Then on the hour swapping to: Flavell, James, Makiessi, Yoganathan, Nejman, Hickingbottom, Pickard, Chapman, Dyer and a couple of trialists, one being the lad from Belgium.
