In an ideal world Klopp. We definitely need heavy metal football to get the best out of our forwards.
Klopp would be ideal, but its highly unlikely. Potter and Howe are both the right profile, but Potter's sidewards possession based style would cause the same perceived problems as Southgate. And Eddie Howe is a snide coward. Left Bournemouth for Burnley, then threw in the towel after barely a cup ot tea. Went back to Bournemouth and after one good season took them down before resigning again. He's then spent a load of dirty money at Newcastle and loves to blame injuries, referees or his housekeeper. Klopp or Stendel
Think that's incredibly unfair on Howe. He got Bournemouth from League One to an established Premier League team who were mid table for about 3 years, not one good season as you claim. Most of his big signings at Newcastle came from the cash reserves Ashley built up. And their injury situation was dire last season, having to basically field the same XI twice a week in cups and league. He's the outstanding candidate for me.
You're probably right - maybe I'm harsh. I'm not so sure about the cash reserves though. Isak, Gordon, Bruno, Tonali, Wilson, Trippier, Botman, Barnes. All bought with dirty money. And they're close to breaching FFP. Just don't like the bloke.
He also p*ssed Celtic around for a whole pre-season before they appointed Ange. Additionally, he's got tubby wee face and insists on wearing double padded jackets as if he's on the street selling drugs. He'll probably be offered the job and will turn it down. With any luck he'll get the sack 2 weeks later
I'd go for Klopp as well ... man management skills are good and plays good attacking football. We have the players just need direction. Thanks Gareth too - some record whatever you think of his style of play
I’d go for Lampard, proven track record as a player and as a manager. Probably one of the best coaches in the world.
Lee Carsley, won an international tournament with the u21s last year. Selecting the brightest placed English manager in the league has failed numerous times before, and going for a foreign coach was a disaster previously.
The games would be incredibly entertaining but our chances of winning a tournament would be practically zero.
