Why? Hasn't it been quoted numerous times on here that they released most of their squad at the end of last season?

That 28 includes a lot of young players who are listed as first teamers, such as Rogan Ravenhill, Jonathan Bland, Vimal Yoganathan, Aaron Atkinson and Nathan James.
We drop from championship and dont do this even if it is to be a yo yo club,8 to 10 mill champs worth init, got to be worth summat hasn't it? Including the loanees who went back, players they released, players they've subsequently sold, I think I counted 16. That doesn't include the 2 they've transfer listed who presumably won't play for them again (including Jamie McCart).
No guarantees that large scale release plan works, as we all know too well. Start, Stop, Rebuild far riskier than a 2 or 3 per season.
Totally agree. Top six place beckons. Think it’ll be Huddersfield, Charlton and Blackpool chasing top two outright and then another handful in the pack behind. Burton Albion will be the surprise package this season.
Just my thoughts but the way we buy players weve got stop telling them if you become good enough you'll get a big move,eg styles,they've got to be told that our objective is to be promoted and the money has to be right of course, if styles would av stuck with us with the coaching hed have got I think he'd av had a good move now,wa it little lee who said Conner couldn't play a certain midfield position and when he did get the position it made him a more complete player,hope am not wrong cos I dont want to get shamed lol
Not sure the mighty Wrexham will be up there, maybe a league too far for them.. I feel Stockport and Mansfield may surprise one or two out of the ones who came up. Both have decent managers.. Not saying top 6 but hold there own but there squads should run out of legs as the season goes on. Not expecting 'a doddle' on the Friday night game. first game of the season on telly. They've made some good signings this summer to be fair and have a good manager for this level. I think they will be pushing top 6 this season for sure and be far better than last season but at the moment can't see them at top 2 contenders
