I heard the chap who owns it on the radio last week. He's hopeful for it and already has plans for one in Manchester, as he had a lot of interest from people there before opening this one, but being from Sheffield, he wanted to open the first one here. My only worry for it is it's location. It's a bit of a trek from the centre, so will only really appeal to locals probably.
Reckon my knackered, nearly 70 year old body, would do it in 30. Myriad of 10 minute bus rides to either Chesterfield Rd or Abbeydale Rd then couple of mlns. walk.
I guess my point was, I reckon it won't be as popular as it would had it been more central Sheffield with people from outside the city. Google maps has it down as 45 minutes walk which is where I got that from. Similarly, say they opened one, say, at the top of Lundwood, on your way into Cudworth, which is about a 45 minute walk from Barnsley Station, you wouldn't get many outside visitors I reckon.
Been today with the Mrs for my birthday, and it's brilliant. It was busy, but not too busy so that you were waiting around. There's 19 different targets so to speak, and you can do them in any order, 3 goes at each. But they say once you've done them all, feel free to go back and try to improve your score on a few of them. We got round them all in about 35 minutes, but then did a few again, had a game of Curby (which is an extra fiver), and a quick go on the arcade machines they've just got in, so we're in about an hour and 10 all in all. At £15 per person, it's a bit steep, particularly if there's a family of 4 as I think it's the same price for kids, but it's definitely worth going. Really enjoyed it.
By coincidence Young Alfie went with his ex team mates last night he's 11 and came back full of enthusiasm said he had a really good time.
