The guy never fails to amaze does he' just been on the news saying that the copper in Manchester that kicked the guy in the head then stamped on him needs a medal. The fact that people like this idiot have a seat in westminster is really concerning.

You have to ask the question would he and Tice have been as vocal if the guy had been white, I think not. The mask, if there was any confirmation required, is slipping on these racists.

Little difference of their outlook on law and order and that of the Taliban.

The Taliban believe in due process and conviction before punishment?

Well they'd still kick him in the head but they'd probably remove it from his body first!

Does anyone know what actually went on before this nasty incident took place, evidently a female police officer had her nose broken, no film of that, officers are in hospital. no film of that, attempts to take an officers gun, no film of that either. These officers are human beings and sometimes over react, rightly or wrongly especially when their colleagues are under attack

What that copper did was horrendous. A blatant overshooting of his powers and looks awful - but if he's just seen his mate get her nose broken (if) on a human level you can see why he'd react like that. He shouldn't, he'll get the book thrown at him rightly, but yer know - context.

Can you imagine the reaction if this had happened at a rally for anti immigration.

You can see it on a human level but as a professional he shouldn't have reacted that way.

Absolutely appalling. Sickening to watch. Then you have c&nts like Anderson and Darren Grimes defending it. I despise these people.

I wonder if Farage will kick him out of the Reform Party with a remark like that, Sunak kick him into touch with his remarks about the Mayor of London.

There's a fine line, aggression is needed but it has to be controlled.

At the time when the copper literally kicked his head in the guy was lying on his stomach with his hands by his side looking totally compliant' if he did carry out these attacks on the police he should have been cuffed taken to the station and charged with the said offences' the police are paid to uphold the law not to act like common thugs' i get that he must have been very angry but thats where his training should have kicked in..

None of us know the context and I am sure there was severe provocation but as a serving police officer he has to act appropriately. I read that he is a trained firearms officer and so should be even more able than most to remain calm under provocation. Even if the guy on the floor was particularly vile - which is quite probable, the behaviour of the officer is unreasonable, its hard to see how he can keep his job and he may even face assault charges. In some ways I feel sorry for him as it looks like he just snapped but he cant remain an active policeman unless there is something in mitigation I cant even think of

The action the police took in using a baton to the head of that Wednesday fan was more serious than this IMHO, and that was described as reasonable and proportionate by an expert. The coverage this has received would seem disproportionate in comparison.

That was a disgraceful ruling as well. There’s absolutely nothing proportionate about kicking a man in the face then stamping on his head, while he’s on the ground.
