    Who decided which players represented which teams?

    So the Northern Superchargers are playing at their home ground of Headingley where Adam Lyth is playing for Trent Rockets. (as does Joe Root) and Dawid Malan plays for the Oval Invincibles.

    Jonny Bairstow plays for Welsh Dragons etc

    It isn't to become t20. Stays as is till 29, then 2 additional teams added. Private investors can buy a % of teams. Majority shares will be retained by counties.

    I think counties will be allowed to do what they want with their shares though. The ECB will sell their 49% to private investors and hand the rest over, but if the clubs get a good offer for the remaining 51% I can see a few taking it up.

    The more I keep hearing about this version of cricket, its making me want to dislike it more.

    It's all razzmatazz and no tactics. Good for the kids who haven't the attention span or tactical understanding to sit through the long game. As long as I can get my kids to watch something, there's hope I can expand their horizons over time and get them to appreciate the tactical battle of the long format.

    Difficult balance though. If we get overrun with crash bang wallop cricket, the long game as a spectator sport, might get buried in all the noise.

    It doesn't need more teams. The teams we already have aren't strong enough due to a combination of....

    Only allowing 3 overseas in a team.
    England playing West Indies
    Canada T20 league
    USA T20 league.
    India not allowing their players to play.
    South Africa getting ready to play West Indies.
    Pakistan getting ready to play
    Bangladesh.
    Sri Lanka getting ready to play us.

    Yeah and it will appeal to some fans of course.
    Those who maybe want and enjoy the awful glitz and glamour, and gory team colours, and ridiculous pretentious team names etc.
    But still hey, each to their own. :rolleyes:

    I hope the northern superchargers lose every single game. Imagine going to “the home of Yorkshire cricket” and seeing only one Yorkshire player playing for the home team?
