    Some of it is filmed in Stalybridge (press says Ashton but Stalybridge is part of Ashton technically), especially the one where the girls put the guy in the car boot. Some of it is also filmed in Marsden. Can't figure out where Jim's farm is, but suspect its the hills around the Lancs/Yorks border. I think Chinese Jim's lock up is at a pretty **** part of Manchester known as ten acres (it literally has a sewage farm behind it).
    I think it speaks to a forgotten part of the country. If you're not trendy and/or commutable you're living in a wasteland. I also wonder if it speaks to something much more primeval. The romans referred to the people of the south penines as the Brigante. They were hard to control and gave their name to Brighouse and also I believe the word Brigand

    There’s a Brassic Christmas special on Sky Max this Thursday at 2.00 am and 10 pm.
    I don’t think it’s been televised before but am not certain.

    Alot of it filmed also in Bacup, they use 2 pubs the one there always sat drinking and smoking in is the Star and Garter on Fairfield St Manchester really iconic music pub
