I adopted myself another, desperate old terrier. My 5th in 6 years. 13, going on 3 years. Has been in rescue kennels for a long time. Absolutely adorable & a demon with a ball.. Say hello to Meg, dear people. Anyone is welcome to visit us in Wentworth..
I also follow your lead and take older rescue dogs. My second dog has been with me 2 years and was 11 years old when I took her in, far more lively now than when I got her with hopefully a few more years left in her.
Nowt like an old terrier. Tough as old boots and love to play with a ball. He looks amazing. Give his ears a rub from me. Enjoy pal.
How many months ago were you telling us that you’d adopted your last? It’s a bloody lovely thing you do sir, giving some lovely old girls and boys deserved love in their last months/years. Well done buddy. I don’t think my heart could take losing them - but I tell you what, you’ve given lots of ‘lost causes’ an amazing life over the years. When I’m older and the kids have grown up maybe I will follow your lead. For now, I thank you. Meg looks like a game old girl as well, here’s to a loving relationship for as long as possible for you both.
