The Shadow Welsh Secretary (and therefore a member of the Shadow Cabinet) proving that the Tories have learned absolutely nothing from the election. He's the first one to openly come out in support of the rioting as "politically justified." There's pretty much a unified wall of silence from the 6 leadership candidates, and responses to earlier incidents have specifically avoided using the terms 'right-wing' or 'far right' when providing perfunctory criticism of them. The moral vacuum within deepens further. https://x.com/Byron_Davies/status/1820091949157875853
He's playing his sheep for fools. He's sunning himself in luxury on their donations, whilst he's scared to return home knowing what's coming, so leaves them to do all the thuggery.
In the past, even wildlife marches have been crashed by the far right. We could normally police it ourselves & fck them off. I also remember this clearly. A peaceful protest about university fees. The coppers were far more heavy handed with students & educators, than the terrorism we have seen this past few days. https://www.theguardian.com/education/2010/dec/09/police-tactics-tuition-fees-protest I don’t know if that’s due to lessons learned after 2010, non antagonism, or pure fear.. I think there is a legitimate call for the army.? At least these thugs preach ‘help our heroes’, etc.. But it’s a fine line between security & a military state..
Live, now, on Sky News: English nob heads, ripping out the fences of English homeowners and throwing them at English police officers. That’ll teach them theer foreigners!!!!!
The election results showed us this was brewing. Our system may have kept Reform to just a handful of seats but I believe they took around 14% of the vote. The 3rd largest party and more votes than the Lib dems who got around 18 times as many seats. Now we are seeing what the fear and rhetoric has led to. A large section of our population are at best xenophobic and at worse rampant racists. I'm not sure how you can educate these people. We probably all have crossed paths with examples and it really is like knocking on wood trying to have a conversation with them. It's all just depressing.
"What are you doing here?" "We're EDL!" "EDL?" "English DEFENCE League!" "So you defend England?" "Yes!" "Well why are you smashing the fucķ out of it then you thick tŵats?"
I see some of those trying to torch the holiday inn seem to think they're Anarchists because they've put an Anarchist symbol on a flag and are wearing a V for Vendetta mask. Alan Moore will be appalled. Thick twunts.
Is this the scousers who claim they aren't English/British etc, and that Liverpool is now a completely separate part of the nation.
I don't disagree at all mate. However my point was going forward I think we need to acknowledge we need to educate people better. I'm not sure what the answer is or if it's achievable. I do believe that Nobody is born racist.
