No one ever wanted to stop the lorries when they were the transport of choice…if I was a boat I’d be right upset. Put everyone of a ferry… it’s that simple. build a fit, functioning immigration system and processing centre. Get people to work doing the jobs the idiots down manvers aren’t qualified for.
Think I’ve posted this on the wrong thread The only way to stop immigration and stop the boats is to stop benefits they get when they get here and it is that simple, they wouldn’t come if they knew they weren’t getting owt Sorry if anyone finds this offensive
I do. Because it's a viewpoint that collides with human decency, international law and is indicative of the mindset that currently sees hotels burning and riots on the streets.
Its not offensive at all to be honest. And I'm afraid there might be some truth actually, in what your saying about the benefits.
You really think they're all coming for handouts? You don't think any are coming for the opportunity to have a better life by getting a job and earning it? Or to earn money to send home to their families? Or just to get away from war/horrendous poverty. Not saying it's right for us to take them all in.. but why do you think they all just want something for nothing? Surely some of the people travelling halfway around the world risking death or being sold into modern slavery, might have some level of work ethic?
People don't come here for benefits, they come here to work. People who don't want to work, who doss about all day, who have no get up and go, don't cross land and sea for a better life. The people who do that are the strongest, fittest, most motivated and work all day every day. I don't understand why people don't get this.
If we stop their benefits, will it stop those that are travelling around the country burning down hotels too?
So you risk the life of yourself and your family so that you can live a life on subsistent benefits? What planet ffs?
How do you expect them to live? Contrary to what the Daily Mail would have you believe, they don't live in luxury and get more than the average Brit earns.
