[BFC SITE] REDS TO PLAY ADDITIONAL FRIENDLY

    An additional friendly game has been added to our pre-season schedule ahead of Friday's opening league game against Mansfield Town at Oakwell.

    On Tuesday evening the Reds will play Serie A side AS Roma in a behind closed doors fixture at St George’s Park.

    The game will kick off at 17:00 and information on how Reds fans can watch the game will be announced after further discussions with the Italian broadcast partner.

    I suspect this will be mostly taking a final look at our fringe players. Can't see Clarke want them wasting energy and risking a last minute injury with our focus on Mansfield.

    I think the opposite. Maybe it's a last chance to get match sharp. You risk injury every time you put your boots on.

    Instead we have only one home friendly and it's a poor one of a team we've played lots in recent seasons.

    Usually its because they play several games in a row, either same day or day after (like Mallorca did) or its last minute agreed and unable or unwilling to sort fans security safety etc out and staff the stadium. That's what I read last season anyway mate
