Just read about the anti nazi gatherings in some of our cities. I wonder whether we’ll get that in Barnsley and Donny? These thugs need to realise that they are a minority. It’s easy when you’re in a crowd that thinks like you do to imagine that everyone agrees with your point of view. Well done to the non violent people who turned it into a carnival atmosphere. Love not Hate.

A chap I work with has said he's heard that an Anti-racist group are planning to get to town an hour before the planned anti-immigration protest.

Can't see how a counter protest is productive in any way. That itself just incites the idiots to start trouble.
If nobody turns up, they just get bored and go away.

I'd say last night emphatically proved otherwise.

They had a jazz band at one of them last night, greatly outnumbering the facists.. Done properly, and in enough numbers it sends the message out loud and clear.

As far as I'm aware, there was no reported trouble in Sheffield last night, where anti-racist protestors lined the streets ahead of where a planned demonstration by the pro-racist lot was due to happen. Either the demonstration didn't occur, they left pretty quickly, or they actually protested peacefully.

It seems like a lot of ‘planned’ right wing events just didn't happen. Either numbers are dwindling, they couldnt tell the time or it was just social media stirring and they were never gonna happen. But an alternative is they may be rebanding getting a bag for life ready for another coordinated attack on Greggs, that well known org who stole their streets.

I reckon this is the most likely scenario.

I think a lot was being organised on Telegram and they were being shutdown by their admins as soon as they were opening new groups.

It looks like the British people are dealing with the racists and not the police or government.

The anti racist groups are doing a far better job with it than the government or police could.

    Makes you proud.

Its odd that you (on almost every subject) take the opposite view as me on pretty much everything. Its really quite peculiar. I'm not saying that I am right on everything by the way, I just find it odd that I disagree on every subject you post about. You would have thought that there would be something, somewhere, sometime where I agreed with your take, but nope, I can't for the love of god think of one.

Protest is exactly that, its a protest. If you allow far right crack pots to destroy public and private property whilst targeting other human beings based on the colour of their skin or where they were born, then that's tyranny. They won't just get bored and go away, it will embolden them to do more. Our police are already stretched due to years of underfunding and cuts, and a counter protest (I hate this term by way, its just a protest) is because most sane, law abiding people have also had enough of this right wing populist nonsense that has fundamentally destroyed and continues to destroy our country.

Who the hell thinks, of all places, Brighton is the kind of place where you can hold a successful Far Right Protest?

Those 4 blokes were likely the only far right sympathisers in at least a 50 mile radius.

Funny that the right wing idiots organise a ‘protest’ for 1pm on a week day. Clearly none have jobs. Happy days though as it’s gonna piss down all afternoon.

Quite an unbelievable statement. Rioters: Over 1,000. Police, 10 times fewer

    Assistant Chief Constable David Hartley:
The number of officers injured in the Rotherham hotel riot has been confirmed as 51, South Yorkshire Police said.

They suffered injuries including broken bones, concussion, bruising and head wounds during the violence outside the Holiday Inn Express in Manvers on Sunday, the force said.

Police horses and dogs also suffered injuries, with one horse having to retire due to a hoof injury, a spokesperson added.

Frontline officers were targeted by missiles, which included concrete blocks, chairs, branches, fire extinguishers, glass bottles and cans, during the "horrendous disorder".

The force said officers who had been unable to resume frontline duties as a result of their injuries were "now part of the team trawling through footage to gather evidence"

Your post does a great disservice to the bravery and selflesness of vastly outnumbered police officers and police animals

That's simply not true though is it? The police are undermanned and have held the line and are now calmly arresting people in the aftermath. The government has allowed emergency handling of these idiots in court which has already resulted in some sentences that will make even your average moron take heed.
The presence of the public on the streets to challenge the knuckledraggers' attempts to represent "are cuntry" is also, undoubtedly a big help.
