Lost at home to Harrogate tonight.

Wouldn't mind an away trip to Harrogate in next round, only a few miles away for me.

With regards to the weekend, Lincoln made 8 changes tonight from the side that edges past Burton on Saturday.

Blimey, was out and about this evening and had literally no idea there was a match on! Assuming it was as well attended as our game.

Edit - 3500 turned up, which is pretty impressive. Probably helped being their first home game of the season.

I'd take a boring 0-3. Cosgrove, Watters and Connell.

(I'd love to know if there's a sports psychologist at Oakwell).

Some good performances tonight, Pines starts Saturday for me along with Slonina, clarke certainly starting to have a nice headache selection wise, I'd go with the folliwing

    Slonina
    Pines Roberts Earl
    Russell/Nwakali(if fit)
    Lofthouse Connell Phillips Gent

    Cosgrove Watters

Can you play Pines and Roberts together in a 3 at the back? Both typically would play the central man!

We aren't going to see Nwakali for a while I don't think. Not match fit for one but I don't think he has his Visa yet either so will have to wait a while for that one.

It’s been said he won’t play as much as we’d like but I’d like to start with Conor, rather than bringing him on when we are chasing the game

In that formation I picked, no, I'd start Russell to just sit, break play up and do the ugly stuff.
Craig hasn't done anything wrong but like I said in that formation he isn't starting over Connell, Phillips and Russell

Tbh Jud. I think Conor may struggle to get a start. There is so much competition for midfield places now. Last night, all those who started then those who finished performed admirably.

There's no way clarke ain't pairing/playing the 2 of those together whether it be a back 3 (which I suspect ) but may go flat back 4 subject to In game plans.
They are the best 2 defenders at the club by a distance if it's a 3, then 1 will play to the right of the 3 in all probability

Don't disagree but both suit the centre of a 3 although as a pair in back 4 I think they would be good together. When as a 3 we rely on the 2 outer players to carry ball forward which I don't see pines or Roberts doing. Interesting to see how Clarke decides to go

So would you think one of them will be on the bench then? Best 2 defenders at club mate, they'll find away to make it work

We don't often do very well against these.. I wouldn't be too surprised or upset to see us P2 W0 on Saturday tea time..
Love a win but would take the point now and move on.

After three games I've seen including pre-season Russell has been our best player. On form he'd be the first name on the team sheet for me. Phillips, Russell and Connell would be my three.

I'd also be interested to know what crack is with Craig.
