I would be more upset about the state of your spelling.

(And I am saying that because you clearly aren't a decent person with your 'boat friends' post.)

I am nearly 60yrs old report .e to the grammar police ,Kahn says he doesn't feel safe in his city yet, even though the english white male only makes roughly 31% he closes streets in the capital from 6PM to day until 12pm Saturday for Pakistan Independence Day at the tax payers cost, I wonder why on st George's day people's rights to celebrate was said as far right ect , and the country's flag is a threat

I've no problem with that. I personally think that this incident was so far outside what's acceptable that it requires "special measures", but like you, IMHO and all that.

You might want to readjust your mask. It has slipped a little.

I’m not a member of many online groups outside of my work sphere - just BBS and I Grew Up in Wath-Upon-Dearne Facebook page.

There are people with different opinions on BBS, but mostly the responses to these differing opinions are so different to the Wath Facebook page. On the latter, those who have been genuinely upset by the events in our little town, the image it now has and the wider treatment of asylum seekers, immigrants or those that are just different are verbally harassed by apologists and excusers of the violent racist thugs who did this. BBS is a much nicer and safer online community. I dare not post my thoughts on the Wath page. And apparently another Facebook page called Wath Rant (I think) is even worse.

My wife is not British and is not white, my son is therefore of mixed race (if we are allowed to use that term). I am at times thankful I don’t live in Wath anymore based on Facebook. However, when in Wath before and after the riot, we found everyone friendly and welcoming and I hope those people who are immigrants or the children of immigrants that live and provide services in Wath feel the same.

on the banning of those convicted - no I don’t think BFC should ban them, I think that the footballing authorities across the country should ban them. There is no place for racism and no place for violence…and football is at times a charged and explosive environment often fuelled by alcohol. Therefore these people are a risk to the safety and wellbeing of all football fans.

Incredible place - went about 5 years ago. Lads from the local authority going up and down paths with leaf blowers to keep the walkways tidy.

Sorry that you must feel uncomfortable (understated) at this time. Unfortunately Barnsley is a crab bucket where people who try to elevate themselves are dragged back down by their peers as though being “from Barnsley, Born and Bred, strong in’t arm and thick in’t head” is a badge of honour.

I dunno. I start with my principle mentioned above but then it becomes a safeguarding issue so it's a tough one.

It's like lots of stuff people try to make simple - it's complicated. Gut instinct is he shouldn't be allowed in a space where there's potentially unaccompanied minors but I'd assume that would be part of any conditions of release/sex offender register anyway?

I remember obviously he got caught and we all found out then there was the thing about him being caught again but I googled him recently to show someone who he was and it said he'd been found and locked up but I thought the two times we all knew about he had escaped prison so I figured 3 but didn't wanna ask anyone randomly on here until you mentioned it.

Sick ****** (him not you obviously)

So you're saying people can change?

It's why we have to be careful in how we react. The full weight of the law should be felt by those who committed criminal acts. However we should always as part of that give people the opportunity to learn and change. Our justice system fials too often on this.

    You’d hope so wouldn’t you.

This was a genuine question btw, I wasn’t trying to trip you up. Just interested at where the line is drawn for you.
