The Reds will be in the mix for the second round of the Carabao Cup following victory in the opening tie against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening. Darrell Clarke's men overcame the Latics at the Brick Community Stadium after a penalty shootout which saw debutant 'keeper Gabriel Slonina keep out two penalties following Donovan Pines' equalising goal in the second half. Now the attention turns to the second round draw, which sees Burnley, Luton Town and the 13 Premier League Clubs not participating in European competitions enter the competition at this stage. The draw will be conducted live on Sky Sports Football, following the Leeds United v Middlesbrough tie on Wednesday 14 August and hosted by Sky Sports’ Carabao Cup presenter, Caroline Barker. The Reds will be drawn out as Ball 1 this evening, with the opposition guaranteed to be in the Northern section of the draw at this stage of the competition. It was mate, a penalty right before half time, which resulted in a red for Steele, Lovenkrands scored it, and then second half he got another, Guthrie got 2, Noble scored their last. Cant remember who their other goalscorer was. Ours was Bogdanovic after coming on as a sub. Was 0-0 still till almost half time, until Preece had to come on after the Red card...
