The people sentenced have all pleaded guilty to the charges. Those pleading innocent have not been jailed and are awaiting trial…
I really want to try an have a civil conversation with you rather than resort to anything else, but you need to accept that you don’t know a lot of things and open your mind to learning.

If you plead guilty to murder, for example, or any crime really where a custodial sentence would be expected, at your first court hearing you are going to jail there and then, sentencing to follow. If you plead not guilty, you're still going to jail until your trial.

They PLEAD GUILTY. If you plead guilty there is no trial. There will be others who plead innocent who will get trials on some level or other. If there is evidence against them they'll get a lot longer in prison.
