There are roundabouts in some states - definitely Arizona. I don't remember any in Florida but I haven't been that way for 20 years.

I've been to the states 5-6 times and driven over 2,000 miles on all but one trip (that was a city break to Boston) and it is much easier than here - except in the middle of bigger cities. Last year we did nearer 4,000 miles in 6 states! Once you are on the open road, its great. Although some roads in Florida might now be radioactive thanks to DeSantis (https://www.npr.org/2023/07/17/1188...ste-in-road-construction-is-unsafe-critics-sa)

Yes, it's like Arizona bought a job lot of roundabouts in a fire sale, or their town planning councillors had just returned from a conference in Derby.:D

My carbon emmissions don't count; it's everyone else who should be cutting down. ;)
I do feel somewhat guilty though regarding flights for work. I've only flown once on personal business in the last 10 years or so. Had a lovely time in Northumberland last week, and due to global warming, it was like Cornwall used to be in the '70's.

I use the Wunderground weather app. Decent predictor
Florida weather channels are great at telling you what the weather is now or for next 15 minutes

We hired a car when we were over there. Decided to drive to the baseball game, driving through Tampa in Florida rain was an experience.

I went about 9 years ago albeit in October, and I've never seen rain like it. Though it hammered it down for about 5 minutes, had a couple of flashes of thunder, then we had bright blue skies for the rest of the day. It did that on about 8 of the 14 days we had there.

Yeah, that’s the kind of thing I’m expecting. An absolutely insane 45 mins of torrential rain and a lightning storm and then sunshine again. I’m fine with that, that’s just Florida, it’s the all day forecast I’m not enjoying!

Owned a house in Davenport Florida for 5 years.

Amazing how the humidity breeds green slimey growth everywhere all the time. There's a jungle wanting to reappear.

Hurricanes/typhoons/tropical storms were things i had not even thought about. The insurance was remarkably cheap given that I claimed for roof damage twice.

Anyway, it'll be sunny most of the time and you can stay on your sunbed even if it's raining. It'll all pass over soon enough.

Just checked the app I use, Weather Channel- showing sun every day pretty much but with scattered thunderstorms, so I reckon you'll be fine.
