As I said in my first post, there are plenty of people on this board willing to discuss and debate anything. Football team selection, politics, favourite colours (even if shorts) whatever. But if you don’t have the conviction in your beliefs to stand up and be counted or the required evidence and background knowledge to back up your views, then there’s no point throwing a topic out there and then slinking off into the shadows.

I’m chilled, I’m 7 cans in. I’ve just taken the view that it would be nice to try and talk through some issues with people on the board rather than call each other names. And I certainly don’t claim to be overly intelligent, but I do like a good discussion.

 

That's literally what I was thinking when making the post. Pretty bold of you to claim to know the workings of my brain better than I do.

This person you are referring to as you lot didn't vote reform, labour got more or less the same votes as the the last general election. Torys lost votes to reform, helping labour win. There you go

Look, you can have the courage of your convictions and argue for what you believe or you can post elsewhere. It's simple. No one is stopping anyone posting on here. The problem is that people with actual far right views are in a minority of about 15% in this country. They can't deal with that fact though and claim they're being hounded when, in fact, the reality is just that the vast majority of people don't agree with them and say as much.

 

No, but about 30% voted Labour. You know what I'm referring to. Look, you know very well how the people feel. We've already had the wool pulled over our eyes. But let's get back to this forum. Do you honestly think it's balanced. This is a serious question. An earlier poster said that I haven't posted for years. Do you understand why? Just to let you know, I've been posting since the nineties. I would really like you to reply with dignity and truth, as I have done. And I want you to know that I am extremely distressed with what is happening to this country. Hence, my post. God bless.
