I doubt we'll sign one before deadline day. Concerning thing for me, given our recent record of signing strikers, is that there's a strong chance that they'll be no better than what we have. Anyway time will tell.
The longer it goes on i would say it puts more pressure on the club to sign an eye catching name or a name people will accept. You can wait over 3 month to sign the right one and the right quality and then end up with a 18 year old on loan with no experience.
It’s hard to believe really. Pretty obvious now that we’re just waiting on a couple of last minute loans. Hopefully we drop on at least one good one because any chance of success this season hinges on it.
Yes, fair enough, all the other teams around the top of league 1 have struggled to get hold of forward options, they're simply not available are they? Birmingham - oh no, they managed to sign Alfie May Rotherham - oh no, they managed to sign Jonson Clarke-Harris Bolton - oh no, they managed to sign Schön and Jon McAtee Peterborough - oh no, they managed to sign Abraham Odoh Blackpool - oh no, they managed to sign Ashley Fletcher Stockport - oh no, they managed to sign Louie Barry Wigan - oh no, they managed to sign Joe Hugill Charlton - oh no, they managed to sign Gassan Ahadme
Schon is a LWB not a striker...... Of those on the list, how many would you actually want here? Aside from May and Ahadme who both cost big fees. There's nothing great on that list to be honest. McAtee and Barry are not out and out strikers either. Both really decent though. McAtee has also gone for a decent fee we probably couldn't afford
