Hopefully pines and Robert’s shore up the centre but it’s a bit disappointing that the defence was the weak link (shockingly bad) all last season and we go into the second game of this new season with cotter and earl as wing backs if that’s how it is.

 

Earl should have been subbed when he passed it back to Slolina from Wigan's D on Tuesday night and never played again.

 

Cotter and Earl at wing back looks to me like he’s filling the back five with height.

Perhaps not suspecting Lincoln will play on the floor much.

 

Looks like Jalo is well and truely broken then.

 

Interesting team selection. It’ll be interesting to see how they set up. It has the feeling of a ‘Coach’s selection’ to me. By that I mean a selection to counter their strengths and expose a weakness. I can only assume they play very direct (hence the 4 centre halves) but are short of pace on their left (hence Cotter’s selection).

if it works, Clarke’s a genius. If not then I can’t help but feel he’ll look a bit daft and will be in for some criticism.

We shall see…..
