Only one winner for me on a day when we we put on an ‘agricultural’ performance.

Went for Cosgrove He gets some stick on here and most of it is rightly so and I thought deserved some praise today. Also Cotter’s run and cross for Robbo’s goal was top drawer and deserves a mention. Some more big saves from Gaga and already he looks like the one to beat to win player of the season

Big performance from our Goalie, but the standout for me was Roberts (apart from a silly challenge in the box)

Pines and Roberts were immense. Excellent performance by Gags, with the caveat that my mum can kick a football better than him. Pretty clear why he got stuck in goal at school! It's a worry as it kept inviting pressure back on to us. Not that he was the only culprit.

Overall Pines edged it for me. Commanding performance while not fully fit. Him and Robbo are going to be some pairing this season. Just a pity about everyone else.

I've also gone for our new 'keeper, who has had a pretty decent start to his Barnsley career.

Please excuse my ignorance but why is our 'keeper being referred to as "Gaga"?

    It's his nickname.
The below quote is from an article when he joined Chelsea.

Slonina’s work ethic has not gone unnoticed, not least by Chelsea’s new American owners. Everyone at the club has got used to calling him ‘Gaga’, a nickname given to him by his family when he was a youngster and has nothing to do with the singer. The name stuck and he has even adopted it as his Twitter handle.

Voted for Gaga. Definitely kept us in it a couple of times, though I thought we defended fairly heriocly. Thought Pines looked good, and Roberts for the most part.

Thought Phillips comfortably had his worst game for us, and Connell was only marginally better.

I've gone for gaga as my Man Of The Match as he pulled off a couple of good saves and generally looked competent and confident. His kicking needs work though. Honourable mention for Cotter, looked stronger and speedier than last year.
