Good appointment for North End, hope they back him & let him build as opposed to expecting instant success.
Me neither. No plan B. Lost his mojo in the 2017/18 season and went all negative in his tactics. Goes negative when results don't go his way and things go sour very quickly. Poor man's Mourinho. Great when it's going well mind. 15/16 with us and his first few games for Hibs and opening season's with decent players at Sheffield Utd. Not a man I'd like fighting my corner though.
I think it’s a bad job to take. They’ve punched above their weight for years & there’s clearly been issues over the summer. My guess is the board aren’t willing to keep funding losses. They’re only likely to be going one way.
I'm not sure Preston is the best Championship job to take right now. The old owner put in over £80m and wiped it off just before he died. His family have inherited the club and they are nowhere near as willing to keep subsidising it. And in a Championship where clubs on average lose over £400,000 per week he'll need to perform miracles if he takes the job.
He hasn't got it yet, he's just a front runner. If he does I hope he gets a 4-5 year contract out of them.

Good luck to Paul. Gave us some fantastic times - I'd rather be where we were then than where we are now.
Tough gig this for Hecky really got his work cut out, bottom 6 budget, some of the better players have moved on, did very well with us and the blunts, but this is a completely different landscape. Good luck Paul
