Winding up the Spurs fans already https://x.com/afcamden/status/1825634531992346738?s=61&t=oi6UkxQucQP_ChLN0xX81A
This might be an unpopular opinion but I can't stand Jamie Vardy and his wife. I just think he's a see you next Tuesday tbh. And I'm by no means a spurs fan.
I think he probably is a bit of an arsehole & his wife is one but the game needs characters & Vardy is definitely a character. I imagine this is an unpopular opinion as loads seem to be tipping Spurs for top 4 but I think they’ll finish last of the 8 favourites in the premier league & Ange will leave before the end of the season. I think they got found out towards the end of last season & with the extra European games I can see it all falling apart.
Him and his wife look made for each other. Because of her stupidity costing Jamie a seven figure sum in court fees, he will also feel like having to play on longer than expected to make some of it back.
The thing for me is, he's not funny though, he's just a knob. Someone like Neil Maupay for example I find funny because it's genuinely a laugh to him, he doesn't take himself too seriously and him being so chilled is kinda what riles people up so much. But outside of that, he seems like a proper sound bloke that you'd have a drink with and he'd be a good laugh. Vardy however, strikes me as one of those lads that if you went on a night out with, would be an absolute liability and constantly getting into arguments and confrontation all the time. His "shithousery" isn't funny because I get feeling he's like that all the time, not just on the pitch. Which makes you a lovely person, not a lovely persons lovely person like Maupay who's doing it for a laugh.
Laura loved his Jack the Lad recklessness. She's now on benefits with a painter and decorator on the the dole with no ladder, car, paint or wallpaper.( That takes the bus to jobs because he can't drive). Bugger all to do with Vardy but I rate him that highly.
Cracking player and great character over the years. We need people like him in the game, he only winds people up after getting plenty of stick. I feel like Vardy likes to wind the fans up and Maupay likes to wind the players up just as much as the fans. I like them both equally though. Vardy has scored 103 premier league goals after turning 30, Ian Wright is second on the list.
I agree with you but I do like having some knob’s in the game too. It’d be boring if everyone was nice & boring.
Great player with more than a jack the lad reputation. (Phenominal goal scoring record and rise throughout his career, I think it was Gary Birtles who achieved a similar rise to fame, Ian Wright another) Tagged at the age of 20 for 6 months, for assault. (Played for Stocksbrdge during that period wearing the electronic tag. Having to be rushed home from games because of the curfew on many occasions) Admonished by his club for using the word Jap. (Naive and offensive or racist is open to question). I don't think many clubs in the lower leagues would shirk at taking him on if available. Not for me given 38 yrs of age but many would give him a shot, still under contract at Leicester till 2025. Will be 39+ by then. I can still see him playing pro football into his 40's if still got the appetite.
I hadn't a clue who he was when he scored in front.of the Ponte and gave his cupped ear salute. He'd no.history with Barnsley so the fans were a bit perplexed with his antics. All it did was make people instantly dislike him. If that's what he's after then he's achieved his goal. Since then I've read his autobiography and he is definitely a proper ****.
Having a go at spurs fans fair enough but then starts mouthing at Romero about his league title ..Romero who’s only won the World Cup and 2 Copa America’s must have been devastated
I don't remember the goal. But I'd be shocked if he wasnt at least given the dee dar chant minimum. Which would give a reaction. Most fans I would imagine would have known that at the time.
