    Fair enough, no offence taken.

West Brom know aswell as others, we've been trying to offload/cash in on Styles for 2 years now, and for whatever reason he's still here, Two Championship clubs have had a long look at him via loans and said thanks but no thanks..
We have to face facts that he's just a L1 midfielder with potential.. like lots of others, means nothing unless fulfilled.
With him entering his last year of contract, being an international or not.. as far as Styles is concerned it's not a sellers market.. one or two may take him but on a cheap punt having not pulled any trees up at Millwall or Sunderland. Wherever he ends up even if he stays here, he'll be a bench warmer at best and have to fight for a place. He or his agent should forget all about being part of the Hungry side that beat England 4-0 a couple of years back.. And just try to get him in somewhere he's a chance to revive a flagging career
I'd let him go for a small fee with plenty of add ons just to call it a day. And if he does come good we'll get a couple of quid later.. if not another ar'well and forget it.

    Allegedly.
Regards the deal, we can only assume we aren’t really interested in Faal. His only redeeming quality is he’s relatively young, the fact that Cole is in front of him in the pecking order at WBA is a worry

Of course Clarke will say he’s in his plans. That’s all part of how you strike the best deals. Nothing new there.

It’s a domino affect with transfers - just takes a few to get done and then that allows others to drop into place.

I’m pretty happy with all the signings to date, and decent money has been spent on their wages too. So I do actually have faith we’ll get it right for the strikers too - just takes time.

Clarkie is going to say and do the diplomatic things here of course, regarding Styles.
But surely, he doesn't really figure in his long term first team plans, does he !?. o_O

He will if he’s still here after the transfer window closes. The thing is, even if Styles gave his all in every game he plays, there are those who won’t budge from their mantra of he doesn’t care, he’s shirking, etc etc.

If he’d have come back this pre season and got stuck in with the lads and made himself available for selection then i don’t think our fans would have had a problem with him and obviously the better he played in these early games then the better his chances of getting his move but by not being willing to put on the shirt of the club who are paying his wages then he’s totally burnt his bridges for me.

Can't disagree with that. I was up for him putting a shift in & put himself in the shop window. Clearly that hasn't happened.

He’s basically become the invisible player who nobody really wants

No I don't believe that to be honest.
Fans want to see effort, and if Callum had been picked and if he was doing his best to try and 'tear it up in Lg one' etc.
He would get the support, even if it meant he was doing it to earn a move somewhere else.

Can't say I've ever noticed Styles not trying for us whenever he's played.

He's supplied us with a few memorable moments too.

I'm against all these comments about his character. I'm only interested in him as a footballer.

He's tidy but without vision or pace. He can't go past defenders. His defensive qualities are suspect.

I'm hard pushed where to insist upon playing him in my BFC team, even with the squad we have. Out left in a non-attacking midfield position I suppose, looking tidy at best as a cog in a machine that would still need inspiration from elsewhere.

So playing him prevents someone perhaps more speedy and creative and dangerous from playing in his stead.

But he'll get, if still with us and picked, a clean slate to start with each game from me.

I have to agree i don’t think I’ve ever seen Styles not trying when he’s played for us but either him or his agent have got this wrong and are making this unnecessary messy.

Yeah if this latest move for him doesn't happen, and that means of course if he's still with us till the next 'window' in January.
I'm sure he will get the so called clean slate, and our fans will back him, if he gets picked and IF he does his best.
He clearly wants to leave and I've nothing against that, so good luck to him with whoever he joins, and with Hungary as well.
And btw, did Millwall and/or Sunderland show an interest, in signing him after his loan there. And did they just not rate him at all, or did they just not want to pay what we were asking for him!.

If there is a “clearance sale” in this transfer market then put him in it at a reduced price please. If not best we will get his him going on loan this season(loan club pays wages) and the disrespectful player that he his gets a decent signing on fee next season when he goes somewhere on a free.

I think it says a lot that his best season was under Ismael(who was great for us imo), and he never came back to take him with him elsewhere.

Then why say "just get rid" like it's a conscious decision that's being made to not do so?
