No, mate. It was definitely Actua Soccer. It might even have been after we’d been relegated from the Prem because I remember Barry Davies referring to Clayton Blackmore (who I think was 98-99 vintage). Unsure whether it was the second or third version. I’d suggest Actua Soccer 3. But we were on it. Oakwell in all its splendour.

I only have a PS5 so I’m no good. But if there’s anyone with a good PC, I imagine you can download it somewhere.

I am setting up my PS4 again today, had to wait for a power cable to be delivered as I couldn't find it (think it got chucked when we had a clear out for the house move).

Have bought Mafia Trilogy and COD WWII.

Let's see if it holds my attention these days, or will be gathering dust again in a few weeks.

I didn't realise Actua Soccer went as far as a third one to be honest, mate. I've looked and it's available on abandonware, so I might give it a look over the weekend.

Let me know pal. It had Shearer on the cover and he was the player who did the motion capture stuff for them. Pretty sure the theme tune was Let Me Entertain You and Robbie Williams played for Port Vale too.

If none of this is true then I must have had one hell of a dream once upon a time!

Yeah, that's Actua Soccer 3. Good game, but I can't remember Barnsley being in it. Then again, that was 25 years ago, and now I can barely remember what happened yesterday...

Hang on! I just suddenly remembered the glorious intro of Actua Soccer 3. Barnsley were in it indeed! At the time that intro was the best thing ever, and now, a quarter of a century later it feels so nostalgic that it's still great.

Yeah, that montage would play, then Robbie Williams started singing and off you went.

    What a game.

The commentary from Barry Davies is the best I’ve ever heard on any game regardless of era.

Might see if I can find a version on my Mac.

Yeah, that looks like some kind of modded version using the same engine. Knew I’d not imagined it.

The game Dead island 1 came out in 2011, and then the idea of a sequel dragged on for 12 more years!.
And that was Dead island 2 by the way, not Dead island 1.5, Riptide.

The theme of Dead Island is fantastic but the 10th anniversary version of it is a classical masterpiece imo

I agree Monk, but as much as I like the game, the music was kind of one-tone (boring) wasn't it!.

Here's the trailer to the sequel game, Dead Island 1.5, Riptide.
Yeah this is a really depressing story, so don't expect any happy endings here!. :(
And this story btw, had nothing to do with the game play itself!.

I'm currently catching up on some older Xb 360 games achievements.
Which are Max Payne 3, and Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2, and The Darkness 1, and Hitman 4 Blood money. ;)

Update. Have played through Mafia 1, and about halfway through Mafia 2. Actually think the first game is better. Better storyline, better gameplay, graphics seems smoother too.

I've just started the first Mafia game on Xbox Gamepass and I'm really enjoying it

The voice acting is a bit over the top/stereotypical New York/Italian style but otherwise enjoyable
